Great Service

Tremendous service from Nicks!

My six year old Synology 1815+ would not power on. I thought about replacing, but found Nick’s and for roughly $300 it was returned and running great.

Great work, but no explanation.

My Synology was repaired in a week and returned without damage. I guess my only quibble, and I guess it is a small one, is that there was no explanation of the problem, what parts were replaced and was an explanation oa any other possible problems were identified and rectified. All-in-all I am very satisfied with the repair and speed of return of the unit.

I apologize if it seemed we did not provide you with the details of our repairs. The reasons we typically don't provide those deatils is because we have publicly documented the repairs performed on these units on our Youtube videos one of which I will link below:

To summarize the repair, regardless of the fault with your unit, we always replace the SMD transistor at location ID Q4, install a pull down resistor between the clock signal line and ground, replace the CMOS, give the unit a quick clean for dust, and replace the extremely small SMD resistor on the power supply as shown in the video.
