Parts, Tools, and Shipped Products (Non‑Repair Services)
- If the item you return is defective or does not meet our quality standards, we will send a replacement at no extra charge.
- If no replacement is available, we will issue a full refund.
- If the returned item is found to be fully functional and not defective, a restocking fee applies:
- 20% of the purchase price or $5.00, whichever is greater
- Restocking fees are capped at $30
- Shipping fees are non‑refundable, unless we shipped the wrong item or made an error.
Component Repair Kits
- Returns are only accepted if the kit has not been installed/soldered.
- Once installed, there is no warranty or return on component kits due to the nature of the work.
Returns for Repair Services (Send‑In Items)
If you send a repaired item back under warranty and we confirm that it is malfunctioning:
- We will re‑analyze and re‑diagnose the issue.
- If the failure is the same issue it was originally sent in for, we will perform additional repairs at no cost.
If the device is determined to be non‑repairable or beyond economical repair, we will issue a refund minus the appropriate fee (see below).
- Shipping fees are non‑refundable if the item must be returned to you.
- If you choose not to have the item returned, it will be responsibly recycled and any return shipping fee you paid to us will be refunded.
If an item sent back under warranty is found to be fully functional, you may:
- Have it returned by covering all shipping expenses, or
- Request a refund minus the shipping cost (if you don’t want it back).
Bench & Diagnostic Fees (Generic Across All Devices)
1. Repair Service Bench Fee (Fully Functional Items)
If your board/module/device is received and, after testing, is found to be fully functional and not in need of repair, a bench fee will be applied instead of a full refund:
- Bench fee: $20 or 20% of the quoted service price, whichever is greater, capped at $75.
- The remaining balance of the service fee is refunded.
- Shipping fees are non‑refundable if the item is returned. If you choose not to have it returned, we will recycle it and refund any return shipping fee you paid to us.
2. Non‑Repairable Upon Initial Inspection (No Repair Performed)
If during initial evaluation we determine the item is non‑repairable or beyond economical repair and no repair work is performed:
- Diagnostic bench fee: $20 or 20% of the quoted service price, whichever is greater, capped at $75.
- The remaining balance of the service fee is refunded.
- Same shipping rules as above.
3. Repair Attempt Fee (No‑Fix Scenario)
If your item undergoes a full repair attempt and is ultimately determined to be non‑repairable or beyond economical repair:
- Repair attempt fee: 30% of the quoted service price, or 40% if the device/module has been tampered with or previously repaired, capped at $100 unless otherwise discussed in advance.
- The remaining balance of the service fee is refunded.
- Same shipping rules as above.
These fees cover technician time, tools, test equipment, and repair procedures needed to reach a final no‑fix determination. We exhaust every reasonable option before calling something non‑repairable.
Tampered / Previously Repaired Boards
We can attempt repairs on tampered or previously serviced boards, but you must:
- Contact us first and provide details of all prior repair attempts.
- Understand that higher repair attempt fees may apply due to increased difficulty and risk.
