Working like a charm so far

I was a little hesitant to ship off this power supply for repair, but after watching your videos about this on youtube, I figured it was worth the gamble. So far, it's been absolutely solid. Removing and reinstalling the power supply was easier than doing the same thing on a PC.I can see fresh thermal compound near some of the transistors, so I assume those were at fault.

The only oddity I'm left with is that sometimes, after I turn the TV off, my stereo receiver will start turning back on and then off again. It's connected to the TV via HDMI, and I'm not sure if this is a case of power being sent to that unit, or if the receiver is detecting power from the HDMI source or something. No idea.

Great service so far, though.

Saved $2k by repairing TV

It worked!

I watched Nick’s YouTube channel on how to disassemble my Sony TV. Their video suggested that based on the four red LED flash codes on the front of the TV, it was the power supply board.

- It took me one hour to remove the PS board.
- hour and $40 on UPS shipping to Arizona.
- UPS shipment took 4 days
- 7 days for board repair (including weekend).
- 4 days for the USPS return
- 1 hour putting the TV back together and hanging it up.

Overall, the difficulty level was 4 out of 10.

I’m very happy that I didn’t have to replace a two-year-old top-of-the-line Sony TV. While I was disappointed with Sony’s quality, I’m grateful to Nick’s TV repair service for helping me get my TV back up and running. This TV was my main TV, so it was out of commission for quite some time.

Power Board for XR-77A80J Fixed!

I found this shop on YouTube and sent in the power supply board for my XR-77A80J Sony TV, which was giving me 4 blinking red lights. They communicated well about receiving the board and fixing it, providing great detail about what they did when I asked. The 2-day shipping I paid extra for didn't really happen but it's a small quibble! Overall, fantastic service and my TV is working like new--perhaps better than new with the new resistors and thermal paste! Thank you to Nick and the rest of the team! I wouldn't have a 77" OLED TV without them!

Works great!

Sent in a power board for a 77 inch Sony TV. Their ticketing system was great and kept me updated every step of the way. Installed the board and the TV works again!! Highly recommend
