Sony XBR-65X900E A-2170-502-A A2170473A Mainboard Repair Service

I sent my Sony XBR-65X900E mainboard to Nick's Electronic Repair and was promptly notified when the package was received through their repairshop portal. I was notified in every step of the process, including delays, diagnostics, repairs completed, and quality testing. After final testing, the board was shipped back and tracking information was provided.
When I received the repaired board I found it included detailed instructions for pairing the repaired board with the TV using a USB flash drive they provided. The instruction sheet also included some basic troubleshooting steps for the most common problems that might be encountered.
Fortunately, after pairing, my Sony booted to the the main screen and is working fine.
The only negative to the repair is that my streaming services no longer work, This includes Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, and Paramount+. This is a known consequence of replacing the eMMC module and is in no way due to any improper repairs. (The possibility of this is explained on the order page). The easy workaround is to using a streaming box (Roku, AppleTV, Fire Stick, etc) to use these services.
I was not able to find a component level repair shop in my area (Western NY) so I am very glad I found Nick's Electronic Repair. As manufacturer's are making it more and more difficult to do this type of work, I am happy to support someone bucking that trend. Who wouldn't rather spend a couple hundred dollars to repair a TV instead of a couple thousand or more on a new one?

My board was delayed due to chips out of stock, but the process went well and the instructions to pair my board were easy to understand and simple to do. No issues with the repair, TV works great.
