Saved me a BUNCH of money

I was depressed to find my outside porch TV dead when I turned it on this Spring. I knew I should of brought it in or at least covered it. I didn't do either one. This was a large 65" Sony TV that cost over a $1000 new. So I went to You Tube looking for help.

Believe it or not I found Nick's videos on my specific TV and specific problem. Many times video's like these require special tools or knowledge but I watched Nick explain every step in great deal and I watched it twice before I was brave enough to attempt the repair. Very specific instructions and video support provided on how to take off the ribbon cables (two different types) along with how to test everything along the way. The video support was taken nice and close and explained each step along the way.

I pulled out the board with problem and send it in. I received notification of when the board was received along with updates on when they looked at my board and when they found a problem. I was notified when my board was fixed and again when it was shipped.

The attention to detail on how to troubleshoot and again as my board was being fixed made me very happy I tried this fix. I felt confident that I could take this on, and the worst I'd have happen would be to buy another expensive TV which is what I fully was planning to do anyway. I got my board back the other day - another couple of views of Nick's explaination on how to get the ribbon cables back on and I was ready to fire up the dead TV. The moment came to turn it on and right away the TV came up and worked like it always had.

I'm so grateful to Nick and his video's and expertise on how to fix this board. Sending the board in and getting fixed was like $100 vs. at least a grand on a new TV. Thanks for your work to make guys like me feel like we can still fix electronics in this day and age. I hope I never have to do this again, but if I do I'll be back to Nick's You Tube pages to start the process again. Thank you!
