Samsung QN77S95DAFXZA One Connect Box Replacement & Repair SOC5003D BN96-56828A BN44-01225A
I spoke with a gentleman on the phone about my television and he explained what I needed was a BN44-01275A L83CA9N_DHS. It arrived in a couple of days and the replacement could not have been easier. One screw and two plugs and I was watching my set again. Returned my bad board in the same box with provided return shipping label and was refunded my core deposit promptly. Thank you!
Great instructions via YouTube. Install went well. I have a decent soldering iron and used a solder sucker to remove the old display. I’m impressed how much of an improvement it is! I almost wish I could turn the brightness down now (mostly kidding).
I live in Metro Phoenix so this was a nice and convenient location (in Tucson) for me to send my broken OneConnect Box. I had done some research and realized that this was a common occurrence unfortunately with this OneConnect box from Samsung that at least fortunately there are a couple of places that have made a business out of servicing, like Nick's Electronic repair. I called in to get details and to ask a few questions and the associate that answered was very helpful, informative and courteous. The price is reasonable based on what I researched as the cost of replacement, though nowadays a 55" TV does cost about as much as these OneConnect boxes do, so if it breaks again, then it would not be economically to have it repaired again. The process for repair was easy. You do have to pay for your own shipment out and find a box and packaging. I used the USPS flat rate medium box which cost about $20. It's also nice that if they don't find an actual problem with the box, they will only charge you a small fee for the evaluation and will refund the difference minus shipping. It's also nice to have a one year warranty. I do feel like these boxes tend to stay warm and hot and never really turn off so I'm not sure if that is the underlying issue. The website for Nick's Electronic Repair is informative with clear pricing. Once the order is made, they have a nice, simple tracking system that keeps you updated. However, the portal seemed to closed once the box was sent back and I couldn't see any details of what was wrong specifically, so I might recommend them to leave it open longer and put comments on the specifics of what's wrong in case the customer is interested. In this case, I reached out via email and I got a prompt and full response. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is in a similar situation needing to find a repair and unable to find an affordable replacement. I chose the option of sending in and repair because I was in the same state and the turn around time was probably less than a week from when I sent it out and that option is $100 cheaper.
correct part to save $1600 on a new oled. appreciate the part verification via email prior to shipping
