I was a little hesitant to ship off this power supply for repair, but after watching your videos about this on youtube, I figured it was worth the gamble. So far, it's been absolutely solid. Removing and reinstalling the power supply was easier than doing the same thing on a PC.I can see fresh thermal compound near some of the transistors, so I assume those were at fault.
The only oddity I'm left with is that sometimes, after I turn the TV off, my stereo receiver will start turning back on and then off again. It's connected to the TV via HDMI, and I'm not sure if this is a case of power being sent to that unit, or if the receiver is detecting power from the HDMI source or something. No idea.
Great service so far, though.
Two older ranges located in our Parish Community Center were becoming difficult to operate because of dim displays. Since they were only used for about an hour / week, we were reluctant to invest a lot of money on replacement/repair.
Nick's Electronic Repair sold us the replacement displays and invaluable suggestions on how to accomplish the repair. I highly recommend this shop for their concern for customers & reasonable rates.
Hi Jack,
Thank you for your review and for sharing those before-and-after pictures. They really highlight the difference a brand-new display makes. I’m glad to hear you were able to get those units up and running again successfully!
A+ Service done the way it should always be, and their web interface is awesome with excellent communication and updates. My Samsung TV is as good as new. Highly recommended
