It worked!
I watched Nick’s YouTube channel on how to disassemble my Sony TV. Their video suggested that based on the four red LED flash codes on the front of the TV, it was the power supply board.
- It took me one hour to remove the PS board.
- hour and $40 on UPS shipping to Arizona.
- UPS shipment took 4 days
- 7 days for board repair (including weekend).
- 4 days for the USPS return
- 1 hour putting the TV back together and hanging it up.
Overall, the difficulty level was 4 out of 10.
I’m very happy that I didn’t have to replace a two-year-old top-of-the-line Sony TV. While I was disappointed with Sony’s quality, I’m grateful to Nick’s TV repair service for helping me get my TV back up and running. This TV was my main TV, so it was out of commission for quite some time.

Nick & Richard worked with me to fix my TV. They were both amazing. Not only did they fix my TV board, but they were immediately responsive on all my emails, and I sent many emails. They answered every one, and quickly. More importantly, they were helpful with diagnosing they problem initially. Before I paid them, before I sent my boards, they answered every question, looked at pics that I sent & made me feel comfortable with trusting them to fix my DPS board. Also, just to be safe, I sent my power board too bc I wasn't sure if it was functional. Not only did they diagnose it, deemed it was functional & reimbursed me for the payment I made on it to be repaired. These guys are the real deal. I will continue to work with them on a few other TVs that I need to fix & I recommend any one out there to contact them if you need your TV fixed. I can't compliment these guys enough. They're the real deal!!!
The Repair was completed, the non operational HDMI's are now operational, but the image seems opaque lacks brightness, not sure if is the board or the TV at this point.
Hi Roberto,
Please double check your TV settings. The repair performed was the replacement of the HDMI processor chip, which would not affect picture quality or brightness, so the issue should be resolved within the TV’s settings menu.
If you are still experiencing issues, I recommend performing a software update and/or a factory reset. Here’s a video we created that walks you through the reset process:
