How Our Core Trade-In Works
Some of our parts include a “core charge.” This is a refundable deposit we credit back to you when you send us your old unit (the “core”) in acceptable condition.1. Buy & install your replacement part
- Purchase the replacement part on our website as normal.
- The price you see includes the core charge.
- When it arrives, install it and make sure everything is working to your satisfaction before sending your old unit back.
2. Reuse our box and packing slip
- Save the shipping box and all packing material we used to send your replacement.
- Keep the original packing slip in the box. We use this to match your core to your order and issue your credit.
3. Choose how you want to ship the core backYou have two options:
- Option A: Use your own shipping
- Pack your old unit securely in our original box.
- Include the packing slip.
- Ship it to the return address on the packing slip using your preferred carrier.
- You pay the shipping, and you receive the full core credit once it passes inspection.
- Option B: Request a prepaid label (we deduct the cost)
- When you add the part to your cart, click View Cart (do not go straight to checkout).
- Under the item, there is a Notes box.
- Type: “Please include a prepaid return label for my core trade-in.”
- We will include a prepaid return label in your shipment.
- When we receive and approve your core, we refund your core charge minus the cost of the prepaid label.
4. Core condition requirements (must meet all):To receive core credit:
- No fire damage
- No water damage
- No severe physical damage (cracked/broken board, missing major components)
- No prior repair attempts, even replacing just the fuse
If the core fails inspection for any of these reasons, we will not be able to issue a core credit and can return the core to you at your cost if requested.5. Timing of your refund
- Cores must be shipped back within 30 days of receiving your replacement part.
- Once we receive your core, please allow 3–5 business days for inspection.
- Approved core credits are refunded to your original payment method.
