The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is because it took 2 weeks, 5 days out and 5 days back plus repair time. Got plenty of updates and the box works fine. I can recommend Nick’s.

I completely get that being without your unit for two weeks feels long. Total turnaround time has two parts:
– The time it spends with us on the bench for repair, and
– The shipping time you choose to send it in, and get it back.
On your order, our team completed the repair within our normal window, and the rest of the time was transit with the standard ground option selected at checkout. For anyone reading this who needs a faster turnaround, we also offer 1–2 day shipping options from multiple carriers at checkout so you can trade off speed vs. cost based on how urgent the repair is.

Nick's Electronic Repair walked me through troubleshooting and disassembly. They repaired the defective board in a timely fashion and shipped it back. I received it, reinstalled it, turned it on and am watching my repaired Sony TV. Nick's made it easy and fun. Thanks.
Everything went as expected until I turned the power on and had error code. Called and got to talk with a real person. He followed up with information twice that solved my problem.
We have several NAS units. Our Synology DiskStation DS1512+ 5-Bay NAS began the dreaded blue flashing On/Off LED. We reviewed the excellent video that Nick's has on their site but alas, we could not fix it. We contacted Nick's and sent the NAS in for repair. Shortly after, we had a working NAS. I couldn't ask for better service. I highly recommend them should you have a NAS failure.
