All is good now!

Would have liked to have a more detailed explanation of what was wrong and what the repair process was.

Hello David,
I apologize for not providing more information in your ticket regarding the repairs performed to your unit. We don't always provide that information as it can get technical but also because we do already have the information provided on our Youtube channel showing exactly what parts are replaced and why. For your unit specifically, I have reviewed my technician's notes, and they stated they found an issue with the clock line signal being out of spec. This caused the processor to be unable to properly communicate with the rest of the motherboard thus explaining why the unit was unable to fully boot up. In order to resolve the issue and bring the signal back within spec a pull-down resistor was installed.
Additionally, the CMOS battery was changed as they typically due fail after 10 years.
